Champion for Kids Simple Giving to Local Youth @Champion4Kids {#SnacksforStudents}

It was such a pleasure being able to have the opportunity to work on such an awesome program and simply being able to give back. The best part about this is that I was able to choose an organization of my choice. Champions for Kids has launched the Students Program in Walmart for youth-based organizations that could win a portion of $45,000. It was exciting being able to choose the organization of choice. I chose South Smiths Station Elementary School as the organization that will benefit from local Walmart donations. It’s great knowing that Walmart stores all around the world are collecting #SnacksforStudents as a part of the Simple Giving Program with Champion for Kids. In a Walmart store near you locate the large purple donation bin near the entrance and everything that’s donated will go right back to the community where you make those donations.

SIMPLE Giving is a Champions for Kids program that makes it simple for you to donate items to help kids in your community. Just purchase items at your local Walmart and drop them in the donation bins after checkout. All of the donations go to children in the community where the Walmart store is located.

Donations from the first SIMPLE Giving program, launched in 24 Walmart stores last spring, provided over 20,000 children with new toothbrushes and toothpaste. Since then, SIMPLE Giving has generated over 500,000 more donations–and counting–to help kids in local schools!

The current SIMPLE Giving program is taking place in over 1,400 Walmart stores across the United States, collecting back-to-school snacks for children in need. If your Walmart store is participating, simply purchase nutritious, non-perishable snacks and place them in the donation bins at the front of the store.

Make sure to follow the #SnacksforStudents hashtag and follow Champion for Kids on Twitter and Facebook.

Disclosure: I was compensated for this campaign through The Motherhood. I was able to choose my own organization to support and all opinions are my own.
