Hello Lovelies!! I have been in hiatus for a week or so and haven’t posted many outfit posts lately because I just recently started working from home and sometimes I don’t get all dressed up the way I did when I went to work everyday. So this is going to take some getting used to. It’s easy to get up and just go straight to work w/o having to worry about what I’m going to wear for the day. As good as that sounds I just can’t do it, but have been guilty of doing so for the last few weeks or so (don’t judge me lol) because it just felt good. Puh-Lease bare with me as I get back into the groove of things as I start on this new journey :-). It’s definitely a different world. and one that I have never lived before HA!! In addition to working from home, I am also a substitute teacher as well, but with school being close to being out I don’t have that much longer to be doing that neither. But I will do my very best and get back into the swing of things and just dress up more on the weekends now 🙂 Anyhoo I’m so ready for school to be out. My family and I have some fun things planned for the summer and my mom, sister and grandma will be coming down to visit late next month, so I’m really looking forward to that and I can’t wait.

Boy oh boy this Texas heat ain’t no joke it’s already been in the triple digits and it’s been this way for a few months now. I mean I feel like I straight live in the desert..it’s so humid and DRY that you can’t even catch your breath when you walk outside LOL…literally. So I refrain from going outside in the heat during the middle of the day because that’s when it’s the HOTTEST. With that being said WTH was I thinking when I got these HOT @$$ braids..they are super long and VERY thick which makes the braids very heavy and I just can’t wait to take them down which is the part I just hate. I just had to share this because I guess after living in Hawaii for 3 years and loving the weather there and now living in the desert it will definitely take some getting used to #imjustsaying!!!
So this month’s challenge for Everybody Everywear was to wear Florals and this is definitely one I enjoyed because I actually had many options to choose from and didn’t realize how much of my wardrobe actually consisted of floral. I absolutely love this skirt and the colors in the skirt. I purchased it a few months back from Forever 21+ and I love it. I did wear it one other time for the Old School concert during my vacay in St. Louis, but I don’t really have any pictures of it, but I dressed it up much more the last time and wore it with a blazer. I just love how some things are just so versatile and can be worn in a variety of different ways if you are creative with it :-). I didn’t want to be to matchy matchy with this look, but I think in this case it actually works. I’m just not so big on things properly matching as much anymore because it doesn’t have to. Let me know what you think of this look!! Oh BTW I have a few other outfits that I have posted yet that I will be posting soon as well.
Head on over to Everybody Everywear to see how everyone else is rocking their florals…so many creative ladies.
So tell me what are you thoughts on florals…are you a big fan or not??

I love this color combo of pink and purple, so fresh.
You look so cute! Love the purple and pink combination…so feminine. I think we have the same “thrifted” clutch. I just did a post yesterday sporting the same one….loves it!

Such a cute look, Tye. Purple & Pink are 2 of my fav colors (I guess cause they’re so girly). I also wish I had the privelige of working from home. You’re lucky!

Cute! I saw this skirt at f21, and didn’t like it on the hanger, but now that I see it on you, I think I’ll have to reconsider! http://www.curvycanadian.blogspot.com

i’m really into florals. i had a lot to choose from for the EBEW challenge 🙂
You look nice. What is your WAH position? Is it your blog? I’d love to work from home but I need the low health insurance rates associated with a corporate job. Sigh…
The floral skirt is cute and the cardigan makes you look curvier..! Your so pretty with that outfit, stay sweet with your clothes.
