Hello lovelies!! Okay so I know I have been M.I.A. for a little minute, but I promise you it wasn’t intentionally. So last Thursday my hard drive crashed on my Dell computer. Yes I know this happens to many of us, but the fact that this happened after the computer was practically brand new is ridiculous so I had to go on a straight rampage with Dell to get them to refund my money. After contacting Tech support and being on live chat with them for almost 2 hours on Thursday I had finally convinced them that I no longer wanted the computer because I was afraid of it happening again so I just requested a refund. No it wasn’t easy which I would have thought it would be b/c like I said the computer was basically still new, but of course they don’t want you to get rid of their product. Okay so I’m awaiting my refund and it takes 20-30 days which is ridiculous as well, b/c it didn’t take me 20-30 days to pay them when I purchased it. Anyhoo my husband went ahead and re-placed our Dell computer with a MAC so we would get a better value for our dollar. This I was very excited about. The iMac is the BOMBBB…no lie and I LOVE IT!! Being a newbie at it, I struggled like hell trying to get pics and stuff uploaded and just having to merge files from a PC to a Mac is a problem within itself. After owning an iPad for a few months, I can now say I’m the owner of a iMac as well only this missing is for me to upgrade from my BlackBerry Torch to an iPhone..hint hint (hoping hubby will read this lol).
So after several tutorials and online posts about posting pics to WordPress, I was able to figure out exactly how to upload my pics to my blog from iPhoto. I absolutely love this computer, I really do and YES I know I have said it over and over, but I can’t help it haa!! I just feel like a kid at the candy store. I love playing around with the applications, iMovie as well as iPhoto. Everything is so much better than Windows (a lot more difficult to learn) once you get everything figured out and know how to navigate your way around..then you are GOOD!! The clarity and quality of everything is SUPERB!! By all means these are my opinions only and I’m sure that others would argue and say they like Windows better, but by far for me I would much prefer my newfound love the iMac LOL!!! Okay enough about my computer saga and on to the Color Blocking post I mean that is what you’re here for anyways. So again I apologize for the lack of post for the past week.
So I’m sure you guys have heard all the hype about the new trend Color Blocking. Bloggers Do It Better is a new challenge created by the lovely Kristina at Pretty Shiny Sparkly. This challenge consists of weekly assignment of the latest trends where you can linkup on her blog for that week. This weeks first assignment was the Color Blocking trend which is very popular right now and I was up for the challenge. I do love color, but often I only play it safe and not think outside the box. Well with the color blocking trend you do just that and be creative and play around with color. I do need to work on adding more colors in my wardrobe, especially pants. I really don’t own many colored pairs of pants so I will be working on that. Head on over to Pretty Shiny Sparkly to see how everyone else is rocking Color Blocking.
My outfit was inspired by this very bright yellow skirt which I love and I purchased when we were living in Hawaii a few years ago from Old Navy for about 7.99 on clearance. I love the bright yellow color of this skirt. I had only wore this skirt one other time and decided to pair it with this black and white blazer and to top it off with the royal blue tank that was worn underneath.
It was very hot outside and the sun was killing me (as you can see from me squinting in my pics lol)..It was definitely 95 degrees+ Definitely that Texas heat. I mean it’s only April and the heat is feeling like this. I can only imagine what the summer will be like.

I would like to say hello to all of my wonderful new readers and thanks to everyone for all of your sweet comments. They truly mean a lot and they just confirm that I’m doing something right and I just ♥ you guys!! I will be having some giveaways coming up for you guys very soon to celebrate my bloganniversary in May…Can’t Wait!!!
Are You a Fan of the New Style Trend Color Blocking??

Love the color combo…I used the same color combo for the color blocking challenge as well.Like how you paired it with the Striped blazer. My dell crashed as well a couple of weeks and ago and I have upgraded to a macbook pro…so I identify with your frustration and joys of owning a Mac! 🙂

Heck yeah, I am a fan of color blocking and this look is AWESOME! I love that you threw the stripes in with it. Black and white stripes might as well be a neutral in my opinion. Lol.

… Welcome to Tumblr! I think I am going to do a tutorial as well because I got quite a few questions on Twitter about how to use it.
