Our time in Hawaii has come to an end for us and what a better way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary than to have a Vow Renewal Ceremony. Okay for those that don’t know, my husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on June 6th, 2010, where he re-proposed to me with a new ring, during our dinner at the Top of Waikiki in front of the entire restaurant (BTW-I was in TEARS…I’m very emotional lol). This was a very exciting moment for me as my husband isn’t the romantic type so this truly meant a lot to me. As I sat at the table looking all TEARY EYED as he got down on one knee telling me how much he loved me and how much he was so thankful to have me as his wife, who stood by his side through thick and thin, when times were rough all I could do was shed tears of joy, because I was so happy to hear these great words coming from my husband’s mouth. I wasn’t even focused on the ring, just what he had to say. I could care less how big the diamond was or how many carats, all I cared was that at that moment my husband was expressing his love for me in front of a restaurant full of people that we didn’t even know. Okay I had to share this because this is what lead up to our Special Day!!!
My husband and I have been together for over 13 years and for us to celebrate our 10 year mark by having a Vow Renewal Ceremony, it meant so much to me. To give you a little history, my husband and I were married at the courthouse in St. Louis County in 2000 and this was not at all preplanned and was actually rushed so that we could leave for the military as a family. So 10 years later here we are in Beautiful Hawaii.
This was the perfect opportunity for me to be all GLAMMED up and be that BRIDE that I had dreamed of being for so many years. I have never wore a wedding gown or had a traditional wedding at a church or anything of that sort. So this really meant a lot and to top it off  it would be in Hawaii which made it that much better :-).
We have lived in Hawaii for 3 years, so why not take the advantage of this ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity and have our ceremony at the beachfront our last week here in Hawaii. I’m so thankful for my Wonderful husband for allowing us to have such great memories in our lives that we will be able to share with our kids as well as family and friends. Â So here are the pics below which include my husband re-proposing to me during on our anniversary dinner, as well as our recent photos that we took at the Vow Renewal Ceremony. I hope you all enjoy and let me know what you think!!

I’ve been with my soul-mate for 11 years so I know what it’s like to be with a great man. Love them and cherish them because not many of us are lucky enough to get a good man. I tell my man how great he is everyday.

I was browsing for ideas for my marriage renewal when I came across this beautiful story. You are a role model for many couples out there and what you have done is an eye opener. There are many couples who wish to do what you did. My husband and I are planning for a vow renewal for our 15th wedding anniversary. Our marriage was rushed also for work related purposes and we had a son already. We want to celebrate our wedding too. I thank God that I came across this website.
Wishing you and your family lots of luck and many more years of marriage and good health.
